This is not meant to be a geneaology site. Rather, this is a site for me to post old, and
somewhat recent photos of the Ruscitti family from Italy and Youngstown, Ohio.
My parents came from Raiano, Italy, in the province of L'Aquila, located in the Abruzzi
Mountains, about 120 miles northeast of Roma. My father, Andrea Ruscitti married Maria
Spera in that village. Pop immigrated to America in 1920 and my mother followed in 1922.
They had 7 children; Maria Angelina (deceased infant), Dante, Irma, Ettorino (Reno), Nello,
Andrew, and Vincent.
I, Vincent, am the sole remaining sibling. My nieces, and nephews have entrusted me with a
large collection of photos, portraits, and snapshots that have been tucked away for years in
albums, boxes and dresser drawers. It's my intention to indentify, catagorize, scan and
post those images on this site for all to view and save the images they want.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the documents that would have provided names or dates on
many of the pictures. If anyone has information that would be beneficial to this site, please
let me know.
