St. Louis Ave, Youngstown, Ohio With Irma. I often went to the bus stop on St. Louis & Market St. to wait for her. Then walk her home. I’m proudly wearing my brother Reno’s Navy hat. Easter Sunday. In those days, everyone dressed up. Boys with ties, girls with new dresses and bonnets of some sort. A big family day with plenty of family, friends & food. My 1st Communion Pictures. A good day all the way around. What isn’t showing is the stain in my jacket pocket from a hunk of chololate I put in it. I really didn’t think it was hot enough to melt it. Actually, I just didn’t think! It was embarrassing being scolded in front of everyone. Mom, with her magic touch somehow got the stain out.            1950’s My Accordian. Pop wanted me to play an instrument and gave me a choice of an Violin or Accordian. An accordian player named Dick Contino was the rage of of America with his style of playing. Also it was the era of Polkas and huge weddings. ‘Nuff said. I still have the accordian. Anyone interested?
